Oh Oh Oreo Cheesecake - In Pictures
2 Packets Oreos /175g Caster Sugar / 450g Cream Cheese / 175g Creme Fraiche / Vanilla Pod / Lemon Juice / 625ml Double Cream / 150g Dark Chocolate / 50g Butter (1)
REMOVE white stuff from Oreos (2)
SMASH Oreo biscuits into smithereens
MELT 50g of butter and mix into smashed Oreos
PRESS into a medium sized springform tin
CHILL in fridge
CRUSH several more whole Oreos
MIX sugar, cream cheese, smashed Oreos & vanilla pod seeds in large bowl
WHISK juice of 1 lemon, 475ml double cream & creme fraiche in second bowl
BEAT mix until it holds soft peaks
FOLD Oreo cream cheese mix and double cream mix together & set aside (3)
REMOVE base from the fridge
SPOON Oreo cream cheese mix onto base
SPREAD filling evenly so the top is flat
PLUNGE whole Oreos halfway into the filling
SPRINKLE top of cheesecake with white stuff & grated chocolate (4)
RETURN to fridge for six hours
STAND by fridge with baseball bat
