Fried Mashcakes
Potatoes / Chorizo / Salami / 1 Onion / Jalapeños / Cheddar Cheese / Chives / Butter (not pictured) Milk (not pictured) / Salt / Pepper (1)

PEEL potatoes and tip into a pan
FILL with water and put on to boil (2)
LEAVE for 20 mins
CHOP onion and fry in oil with knob of butter until softened (2)
REMOVE skin from the chorizo
SLICE chorizo into chunks and salami into strips
SIZZLE chorizo in a hot pan for 2 minutes
GRATE cheese
ATTACK jalapeños and chives with sharp knife
DRAIN potatoes and mash with a potato masher
POUR in a drop of milk, a twist of pepper and knob of butter
BEAT senseless with a wooden spoon
MIX chorizo, salami, onions, jalapeños, chives & cheddar into mash (3)
MOULD mashcakes using an old coffee jar lid lined with plastic wrap (4)
PLACE in fridge for 30 mins
FRY mashcakes in butter until browning
GET mashed  (5)
