Croque Monsieur
Bread / 150g Gruyere Cheese / Sliced Ham / Plain Flour / 50g Butter / Glass of Milk / Pepper / Mustard (not pictured) (1)
HEAT grill to tres hot
GRATE gruyere and set aside
MELT butter in pan on medium heat
PAINT one side of the sliced bread with melted butter
PLACE bread under grill until browned
SPOON 1tbpn of plain flour into melted butter
HEAT again to cook off flour
POUR in milk after a couple of minutes
STIR in 30-40g of gruyere (2)
TAKE off heat when thickened
SPREAD mustard onto non toasted side of bread
PILE sliced ham and gruyere onto bread (3)
PLACE back under the grill until cheese has melted
REMOVE from grill
TOP sandwich with bread, toasted side up (4)
POUR thickened cheese sauce on top of bread (4)
SPRINKLE more cheese (4)
RETURN to grill for a minute or two
ENLEVER et ravager! (5)
