HEAT oven on full whack

COVER a baking tray with foil

PLACE strips of streaky bacon in a tasty line

THROW foil over bacon

COVER with another tray and add oven proof pan to weigh down

KEEP an eye on the tasty, tasty bacon as it will crisp up quickly

SNAP tough ends from asparagus

TURN hob on full

POUR boiling water to bottom section of steamer

STEAM asparagus once bacon has five or six mins to go

REMOVE crispy bacon from oven and remove excess fat with paper towel

RESCUE asparagus once steamed

MIX a spoonful of red pesto into small amount of steamer water, and stir

INTRODUCE asparagus to pesto, stir

SERVE with tasty, tasty bacon and parmesan shavings
